Peopleschampion.com launches hotline for consumers to grab a better energy deals.

Scotland’s leading price comparison site, Peopleschampion.com has launched its hotline service for those wanting to switch their energy supplier. The move comes after Scottish Gas announced a cut in its tariffs of 17%. Consumer groups say the cut is still not enough.

Jim Spowart, the chairman of Peopleschampion.com, said: “Older people who aren’t on the internet can still benefit from cheaper gas and electricity by using our telephone hotline. It you’re not comfortable doing transactions over the internet – then pick up the phone.”

“We recognise that some people might find it more difficult to use the internet – so we’ve decided to make it even simpler,” said Mr Spowart.
